Phew! Long week. Well, kind of, it was more like a long weekend.
So the week passed pretty uneventfully, although Elder Nascimento and I started our new program for companionship study. It’s pretty wicked awesome, and helps us focus on our investigators a lot more. After the first day we used it, I could feel the Spirit a lot stronger, and this whole week has been one giant spiritual learning experience. On… Wednesday? I don’t remember, we went out to Papaito’s machamba with the Banks’. It was pretty sweet, middle of nowhere though. Some really big mountains out there. There’s a pic of me with his cows, and a pic of us with the fam. On Saturday, early, we traveled to Tete. It’s a five hour drive to the north, so we left early, around 5-ish, and stayed the day there, going to church on Sunday. We came back Sunday afternoon, right after church. So, we had a 36 hour trip, and we were in the car for 10 hours. I was a sleep for 16 of the 36 hours…
But yea, it was fun.
Not really too much to report this week. We missed church here in Chimoio, because we were in Tete, so we had to try to get one of the other elders to count our investigators. Apparently we had 8 show up (which is the best we’ve had since I got here…) Maybe we should leave more often! Well, we will in two weeks. We have to go to Maxixe in this transfer sometime. It’s a lot further away, about a 10 hour trip, one way… but we’ll probably make it a 4 day trip, leaving on Friday and coming back on Monday. But we’ll see.
Oh, after we got home last night, we went out to go try to visit a few people. On our way back, it started to hail! It was pretty bad, we had to duck under a gas station, so we wouldn’t die. The biggest piece I was was about the size of a dollar coin. (The old non-Sacagawea ones). So we got soaked.
I love you all, and hope you’re all doing well!
P.S., the last pic is from our trip on Saturday. Mmm pretty sunset!
